The LoDi system – innovation meets precision. Since its introduction the LoDi system has established itself as one of the most advanced digital control solutions in model railroading.

Whether in large club layouts, with passionate individual users or on impressive show layouts — LoDi is in use wherever uncompromising technology is called for. Our devices stand for the highest precision, innovative functions and a well thought-out, future-proof architecture.

They have been on the market since 2018 and are firmly established thanks to their outstanding performance and ease of use. They are available from our LoDi shop and from selected specialist dealers.

Many of you will remember the µCon system we developed and brought to market in 2010 under the LSdigital brand. But technology does not stand still — and neither do we. Looking firmly ahead, we developed a completely new and powerful successor: the LoDi system, tomorrow of digital model railway control, available today.

The LoDi system at a glance

Overview of all LoDi system components, grouped by function through colour — Every main component uses the same colour throughout, so each device can be assigned to its function at a glance.

The LoDi system essentially consists of three main components:

Driving — the LoDi-Rektor and the LoDi-Booster generate the track signal for the rolling stock. The LoDi-Con controls and monitors every component, the LoDi-CV-Programmer reads and configures locomotives, and the LoDi-Trainspeed measures their speed.
Feedback — the LoDi-S88-Commander LX and the connected feedback modules such as LoDi-8-GBM (-P) (v2) and LoDi-RM-16+ detect the locomotives on the track and report them back to the control software.
Switching — the LoDi-Shift-Commander and modules such as LoDi-Operator 4-WD-AC and 4-WD-DC drive the turnouts. The LoDi-Operator 16-SD-FL (1k) handles light signals, lamps, LEDs and effects, and the LoDi-Light-Operator 4-C-LED the room lighting.

Ethernet throughout

The LoDi system relies entirely on Ethernet for control, which brings the following advantages:

Extremely fast control of functions
Straightforward commissioning
Works from anywhere in the house
No tedious setup of special USB drivers or the like
Platform independent

Setup and control software

The system is set up either through our own LoDi-ProgrammerFX interface or through supported model railway software. In compatibility mode the basic functions are available.
